Y&R Today Episode Recap: Matt Clark Blows Up Gas Station — Nick, Adam, Sharon & Noah Trapped!

Matt Clark sets a deadly trap at a remote gas station where Nick, Adam, Sharon, and Noah are stranded in worsening danger. Nick is fading fast, the cell phones are gone, and the landline is dead. Outside, Matt prepares to make sure the Newmans never escape alive. At the same time, Victor Newman is battling Phyllis Summers over control of the Newman empire. Michael Baldwin urges Victor to negotiate and simply buy the company back. Victor rejects the idea because he sees it as surrender. He believes Phyllis stole what belongs to him and should return everything. To Victor, the company is not just business but legacy, power, and family pride. He refuses compromise and vows to reclaim it all. While that war rages in Genoa City, a far deadlier crisis is unfolding in the desert.

Phyllis meets with Lauren when Daniel arrives and learns Victor is coming after his mother with damaging evidence. Instead of rushing to defend her, Daniel suggests prison might teach Phyllis a lesson. His response shows how exhausted he is by her endless chaos and reckless choices. Phyllis insists she cannot get a fair trial with Christine Blair as district attorney. She asks Daniel to persuade Danny Romalotti to distract Christine so she can gain time. Daniel refuses to be pulled into another manipulative plan. Lauren sympathizes with Phyllis but also understands Victor is a dangerous enemy. After Phyllis storms out, Daniel asks Lauren to convince his mother to stop fighting Victor. He is no longer focused on helping her win, only on preventing her destruction. Meanwhile, Matt grows more unstable and confident that his own revenge plot is about to succeed.

Matt speaks with Riza Thompson, who realizes he plans to blow up the gas station with the Newmans inside. She quickly informs Chelsea Lawson, who understands the urgency and calls Victor immediately. Chelsea tells Victor that Nick, Adam, Sharon, and Noah are trapped and Matt is about to strike. Victor orders her to send the coordinates with no time to waste. Inside the station, Adam reveals Nick took fentanyl and is now in dangerous withdrawal. Sharon realizes Nick’s addiction began before this crisis and the secret is only now coming out. Adam admits he encouraged Nick and meant to get him help later. But later may never come because Nick is too weak to stand. Sharon wants an ambulance, yet no phones work and no help can be called. As they struggle to move Nick, none of them know the station itself is about to become the weapon.

Sienna Boudreau spots Matt’s parked vehicle near the station and confronts him inside his car. She sees he is watching the gas station through a security feed and begs him to stop. Sienna offers him a new future, saying they can run away together and rebuild their lives. Matt twists her plea into betrayal, believing she only wants to save another man. Consumed by rage, he presses the detonation button. The gas station erupts in flames as Sienna watches in horror. Inside were Nick, Adam, Sharon, and Noah, with Nick barely conscious. Chelsea’s warning may have come too late, and Victor’s rescue effort may not arrive in time. Yet later spoilers say Sienna receives news that brings relief, suggesting the blast did not kill everyone. The great mystery now is how anyone survived and whether Matt’s revenge has truly failed.
