Nick becomes so obsessed with getting rid of Matt that he develops a reckless and terrifying plan to kill him personally. He even intends to convince Detective James Burrow to lie and claim the killing happened in self-defense. Adam and Victor Newman become extremely worried because they know Nick’s actions could easily destroy his life forever. They fear that if Nick goes through with the plan, he could end up in prison and lose everything important to him. The situation becomes even more dangerous because Nick may not realize he is being manipulated from the shadows. There is speculation that Nick’s drug dealer may actually be connected to Matt and secretly working for him. Nick believes he is in control of the situation, but he may instead be walking directly into a carefully planned trap.
