‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Willow Headed To Asylum After Shocking Arrest?

A real “whodunit” storyline has come to light on General Hospital with a recent shooting. Since then, fans are worried that one character could find herself taken into police custody and possibly into Ferncliff Asylum: Willow Tait. In fact, it’s already been hinted that someone is going to be under arrest quite soon in Port Charles.

General Hospital Fans Have Recently Seen Willow Tait’s Life Come Apart

Willow Tait’s life has been going downhill over this past year on General Hospital. Her life already took a turn when her affair with Drew Cain came to light, impacting her marriage to Michael.

Since then, Michael has been granted full custody of their kids. The ensuing meltdown caused her to go into a catatonic state, even needing to be hospitalized. However, fans think another downfall for the character could be right around the corner.

Complicating things further, suspicion has fallen on Willow after Drew was shot twice in the back in his home, leaving him in critical condition. In fact, the show has already hinted that an arrest will soon be made in the case.

A recent teaser hints that covers will be blown in Port Charles. As it teased, “Molly is determined to find Ric as Cody stumbles upon something suspicious.” However, a lot of attention is given to Finola Hughes’ Anna Devane can be seen looking for answers, even questioning Nathan.

The short clip manages to sneak in one shocking line from Anna: “You’re under arrest for the attempted murder of Congressman Drew Cain.” A sound resembling handcuffs then plays the scene out.

The teaser naturally builds up the suspense about the identity of the suspect Anna is talking to. Of course, many fans suspect it could be Willow.

The Investigation Has Already Found Its ‘Smoking Gun,’ Or So It Would Seem

Things have gotten worse for the character, as Willow has driven off friends, lost her home, and is staying with Liz Webber in recent episodes. Complicating things further, Liz’s home has also become a subject of investigation in the case, leading to Anna finding a gun.

The gun apparently belonged to the late Edward Quartermaine and appears to have been taken from the mansion to commit the crime. Liz isn’t a suspect in the case, so it seems more likely that Willow will be arrested.

Thanks to this, Willow could soon find herself in Ferncliff Asylum, especially considering the state she’s been in during these past storylines. This could set up a bunch of different stories, such as characters trying to come to her defense.

Of course, while evidence appears to point to Willow, there are other suspects in this “whodunnit” mystery, such as Michael, Nina, or Curtis. It’s possible that the gun is a red herring and another character will be taken into custody.

Added to that, anything could happen in a soap. Even if evidence points to Willow and she is indeed sent to Ferncliff, there’s still another issue. That is, if she’s actually guilty. It could turn out that another character is setting her up. Ultimately, fans have to tune in to see what happens next in General Hospital.
