He recruits Ethan Lovett to help carry out a dangerous trap after Ethan reports seeing Rick and Ava together at Metro Court Gardens. Sunny’s cold attitude toward his own brother shocks viewers because he treats Rick like a rival criminal instead of family. In reality, Rick is simply helping Ava with an expensive art sale while planning a romantic surprise for Elizabeth Baldwin. Rick even asks Elizabeth to leave town with him for the weekend, proving his intentions are sincere rather than sinister. Despite this, Sunny believes betrayal is inevitable and appears ready to escalate the conflict to a dangerous level. Ethan’s involvement creates even more tension because he has his own mission involving revenge against Jen Sidwell for hurting Holly Sutton. He discovers blood on the gun that belongs neither to Jason nor to Ross Cullum, creating a major mystery. Elizabeth Baldwin begins connecting clues after remembering Rocco’s injured hand and his strange behavior around Britt West. Liz finally concludes that Rocco was the shooter and shocks Dante by accusing his own son. Dante struggles emotionally because his life has always been built around justice and law enforcement. He now faces the horrifying possibility that Jason sacrificed himself to protect Rocco from punishment. Lulu becomes trapped under pressure from Nathan West, who is secretly the evil twin Cassius manipulating everyone around him. Elsewhere, Felicia Scorpio offers emotional support to Lucas Jones as he mourns Marco Rios, though Lucas may already be in serious danger. Cassius planted the idea in Jen Sidwell’s mind that Lucas was responsible for Marco’s death. Sidwell may now seek revenge against Lucas without realizing he has been manipulated. He pressures Lulu, kidnaps Josslyn, frames Lucas, and spreads fear throughout the city. Britt West may ultimately become the key to exposing him because she knows more than anyone realizes. Sunny continues setting his dangerous trap for Rick while Dante wrestles with the truth about Rocco. Carly and Valentin keep clashing over how to rescue Josslyn while Brennan unknowingly becomes part of their scheme. Drew remains trapped and helpless as Nina’s guilt grows heavier with every decision she makes.
