The April 22 episode of General Hospital promises chaos as multiple storylines collide across Port Charles. Britt West reaches her limit and tells Lucas Jones she refuses to continue Sidwell and Cullum’s dangerous cold fusion project. She desperately needs her Huntington’s medication after Cullum destroyed the vials holding her treatment. Britt’s decision is brave, but Sidwell has already ordered someone to eliminate her if necessary. Her stand against them could easily become a death sentence. Meanwhile, Rocco Falconeri makes a reckless move by bringing an extra pillow to Ross Cullum’s hospital room. This is the same man Rocco secretly shot on Pier 55. Guilt and panic seem to be driving Rocco toward disaster. If Cullum recognizes him, Jason Morgan’s sacrifice in WSB custody could be for nothing.
Later, Rocco reportedly confesses to Britt that he was the one who shot Cullum. Britt already learned the truth from Cassius Faison, who is pretending to be Nathan West. Hearing it directly from a terrified teenager, however, will hit her much harder. She knows Cullum would destroy Rocco if he learns the truth. Britt now feels responsible for protecting the boy while fighting for her own survival. Dante Falconeri also goes into full detective mode and corners Lulu Spencer for answers. He senses Lulu is hiding major secrets involving Rocco and recent events. Lulu is already overwhelmed by Rocco’s infection, her fake Nathan boyfriend, and constant lies. Dante also plans another visit to Cullum, which will add more pressure to the investigation. The hospital becomes the center of danger, guilt, and suspicion.
Elsewhere, Curtis Ashford learns Isaiah Ganon was present for Portia Robinson’s latest exam and lashes out at him. Curtis appears to be projecting guilt from the car crash that injured Jordan Ashford. Jordan is traumatized and worried about the scars she may carry from the accident. Instead of processing that, Curtis channels his anger into a confrontation with Isaiah. Jordan then has a dramatic meltdown in her hospital room and screams for someone to leave immediately. It is unclear whether she is yelling at Sidwell, Brooklyn Quartermaine, or someone else entirely. If it is Brooklyn, Jordan may have remembered seeing her car at the crash scene. Brooklyn secretly hit the guardrail after drinking and fled in fear of losing baby Phoebe. Tracy is helping Brooklyn cover up the truth. That revelation could explode if Jordan’s memory returns.
Molly Lansing-Davis and Cody Bell continue their romantic evening after Molly’s recent surgery. Cody apologizes and hints that words alone are not enough, suggesting a deeper confession is coming. He may finally admit that he loves Molly and wants something real with her. At Sonny Corinthos’ house, Rick Lansing grows suspicious of Ethan Lovett’s sudden return. Rick warns Sonny that Ethan could be a plant sent to infiltrate the organization. Sonny ignores the warning and decides to trust Luke Spencer’s son. Ethan has every reason to hate Sidwell because of what happened to Holly Sutton and Lucky Spencer. Spoilers suggest Ethan may become key to Sonny’s plan against Sidwell. Once Ethan learns Cassius is deceiving Lulu, even more chaos is likely ahead. Port Charles remains messy, dangerous, and impossible to ignore.
