Ridge is ignoring the dangerous conflict growing inside Forrester Creations by refusing to fire Will Spencer. He keeps Bill Spencer’s son on the payroll partly to provoke Bill, even as tensions rise daily. Bill feels hurt that Will chose to work for the rival company instead of joining Spencer Publications. Now Bill also has Logan Designs, which recently scored a successful fashion show and is preparing for war with Forrester. Yet Will remains at Forrester, which only deepens Bill’s frustration. Spoilers suggest R.J. will finally confront Ridge about why Will is still employed there. R.J. believes Ridge should remove Will before their rivalry turns violent. The feud has already become physical, raising fears that someone could be seriously injured. Past family rivalries on the show often ended badly when parents failed to intervene. This new conflict appears headed down the same destructive path.
R.J. may be arrogant at times, but he has reason to be angry with his father. Ridge is supposed to maintain a safe workplace and protect both his employees and his son. Instead, his hatred of Bill seems more important than solving the growing crisis. Allowing personal grudges to dictate business decisions makes Ridge look like a poor manager and parent. Will also refuses to quit because he does not want R.J. to think he has won. His stubbornness reflects the same pride and defiance that defines Bill Spencer. Ridge keeps Will out of spite, and Will stays out of spite. The result is a toxic cycle driven by ego and competition. Neither side seems willing to step back before real damage is done. That stubbornness is turning a workplace dispute into a family war.
The true root of the feud is Electra Forrester and the love triangle surrounding her. What began as competition for her attention has grown into violence and resentment. Electra’s aunt Ivy secretly manipulated events by hiding letters and steering her toward R.J. Now that Electra knows the truth, the balance between the men is shifting again. Will is frustrated because Electra still seems drawn to R.J. despite everything. R.J. senses he is losing control and has become more aggressive. Both young men are repeating the same romantic and power struggles their fathers once had. Ordinary employees at Forrester are left working in the middle of constant chaos. Between executive arguments and hallway fights, the company feels more like a circus than a fashion house. Ridge’s refusal to act only encourages the disorder.
Predictions suggest Ridge will reject R.J.’s demand and tell him to handle the matter himself. He will not want to give Bill the satisfaction of sending Will back home. That could push R.J. to play dirty by framing Will or sabotaging his work. Will may soon realize he is being used as a pawn in Ridge’s power game. He is also exhausted by fighting with R.J. and dealing with Electra’s indecision. If he quits on his own terms and joins Logan Designs, it would be a major blow to Ridge. Bill would gladly welcome his son and gain momentum in the corporate battle. Critics argue Ridge’s so-called legacy is already damaged by the chaos he allows. Even fans who dislike R.J. can see Ridge is wrong in this situation. Unless someone changes course soon, the conflict may explode into something far worse.
