Former ‘Days of Our Lives’ Star Announces New Role
It’s been six months since Remington Hoffman last appeared on the Peacock streaming soap Days of our Lives, but that hasn’t stopped the fan favorite actor from continuing to work. Now, the actor has finally announced what he’s been up to.
The actor was recently interviewed by SoapHub, where he explained his current projects. Hoffman can currently be seen on stage at the Backstage Theater in Los Angeles as he is starring in the Tennessee Williams play In the Bar of a Tokyo Hotel. The one-act play tells the story of Mark, an alcoholic painter on the verge of a nervous breakdown, and Miriam, a loud woman who is trying to seduce the bartender (Hoffman).
But for fans looking to see Hoffman back on the screen, you won’t have to wait too long, as the actor just wrapped the fourth season of the BET+ series Zatima, where he plays Bryce. Zatima, created by Tyler Perry, is a spinoff of the series Sistas. Zatima tells the story of Zac and Fatima as they start their new journey together as a couple, but a series of lies, secrets, and the return of some exes threaten the pair’s newfound love. Bryce joined the series in the first season described as “a relatively new friend of Zac’s who works with Gary and is helping Zac with his stock investments. He has stepped in and become a confidant and somewhat of a rescuer to Zac. Bryce is also dating Angela, who happens to be Fatima’s best friend.”
Hoffman played the role of Li Shin on Days of our Lives. He originally joined the series on the digital spinoff Chad and Abby in Paris, he moved to the main show on April 22, 2020, where he remained until the character was tragically killed off by the wacky villainess Conni Kaminski (Julie Dove) in 2024.
Hoffman’s credits also include The Rookie,Do You Want to Die in Indio?, Breathe, Breakwater, Sweet Home, and Real Hollywood.
Tickets for In the Bar of a Tokyo Hotel can be purchased here.
Zatima Season 4 will premiere later this year on BET+, and the series has been renewed for a Season 5 which will film in August 2025.
