Salem is heading into chaos as July Sweeps begins, and the week of June 22–26 promises some of the most explosive and emotional storylines of the summer.
At the center of the storm is Chanel Dupree, whose decision to undergo chemotherapy while pregnant takes a terrifying turn. After fighting to protect both her life and her unborn child, Chanel suddenly goes into premature labor and begins bleeding. The medical emergency leaves Johnny DiMera devastated and fearing the worst. For a couple that has already endured more than its share of heartbreak, this crisis could become the ultimate test of their marriage—and their future.
Meanwhile, the DiMera family is imploding. EJ DiMera discovers Kristen’s alleged role in the plot that nearly killed Johnny during the apartment fire and decides to take matters into his own hands. Spoilers suggest Kristen is kidnapped, and all signs point to EJ as the architect of her disappearance. Whether this is revenge, justice, or something even darker remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: the DiMera civil war has reached a dangerous new level.
As if that weren’t enough, Lexi’s health continues to deteriorate. Dr. Rolf’s experimental serum appears to be failing, sending Lexi back to the hospital and pushing Abe Carver to the brink.
