Y&R Today’s Recap — Patty Drugs Jack on Yacht as Victor’s Shocking Plot Unfolds
Jack Abbott never expected the night to end this way, standing on a quiet yacht in the middle of the open sea with Patty Williams smiling at him in a way that feels far too dangerous. What Jack doesn’t realize is that he may already be trapped in a carefully arranged situation. Someone powerful seems determined to remove him completely, and Patty might be the perfect tool to make that happen. After showing Jack around the yacht, Patty gushes excitedly about the quiet setting and the special time they now have together. For her, the moment feels romantic and meaningful. For Jack, something about the situation feels deeply wrong. He watches her closely as the unease grows stronger. The entire setup feels strange and far too convenient. Finally, Jack asks the question that has been bothering him since the moment they arrived. Patty casually explains that a man brought her to the yacht in a small dinghy and said he would return in a couple of days.
The answer immediately alarms Jack because Patty never mentioned anyone coming back for him as well. He slowly scans the yacht again, suddenly feeling the weight of the silence around them. The realization dawns on him that he might be stranded at sea with no guarantee of rescue. Jack even voices the terrifying possibility that the yacht could become a death trap. Patty, however, doesn’t appear frightened or worried in the slightest. Instead, she looks almost peaceful about the entire situation. Jack points out that there’s no guarantee the man will even return for her either. Patty shrugs the concern away as if danger is simply part of life’s journey. She insists that everything happens for a reason and that this moment must mean something. Jack studies her face carefully, beginning to realize how unstable the situation truly is. Before he can question her further, Patty suddenly changes the subject and claims it’s too hot inside the yacht.
Without warning, Patty begins slowly removing her clothes while encouraging Jack to relax and loosen his tie. Jack hesitates, but something strange is happening to his body as his head grows heavy and his movements slow down. Eventually he removes his tie while Patty moves closer and starts unbuttoning his shirt one button at a time. Jack suddenly feels dizzy and unsteady on his feet. His vision blurs as he struggles to focus on what’s happening. Looking at his glass of scotch, Jack begins to suspect that something may have been added to his drink. When he asks Patty if she drugged him, she pretends to be shocked and reminds him that she tasted the drink first as his tester. Despite her explanation, Jack grows weaker as the dizziness intensifies. Patty gently guides him toward the bed while he struggles to keep his thoughts clear. She whispers that they deserve this moment together after everything they have been through. Jack weakly protests and reminds her that he is married to Diane Jenkins Abbott, but Patty coldly replies that Diane never has to know.
As Jack loses control due to the drug taking hold of his system, he ends up kissing Patty back despite his fading resistance. What appears to be passion is really manipulation as Patty gets exactly what she wanted. Meanwhile, back at the marina, Diane Abbott, Kyle Abbott, and Billy Abbott realize Jack is missing and rush to investigate. Billy bribes the marina manager with ten thousand dollars to reveal information about the yacht rental. The manager finally admits that a charming woman rented the luxury yacht for two days. Billy immediately realizes that the woman must be Patty Williams. Diane turns pale and Kyle is stunned since Patty was supposedly locked in a psychiatric facility. The shocking discovery raises an even darker suspicion that Victor Newman may be involved. At the Newman ranch, Nikki Newman confronts Victor in anger, demanding to know what he has done. Victor calmly admits that Jack Abbott is “on ice,” though he insists Jack is perfectly fine and not alone. As Billy speeds across the rough ocean toward the distant yacht with Diane and Kyle beside him, the race to save Jack begins while the terrifying question remains whether Victor truly orchestrated this deadly trap.
