Cane’s Destruction of Newman Enterprises Forces Victor to Negotiate! The Young and the Restless
Phyllis and Kane emerge as the new power couple in Genoa City as their plan against Victor Newman takes effect. Kane’s AI program has turned against its host and is actively destroying Newman Enterprises. Phyllis presses Kane about when they will take over, and he confidently tells her it is already done. The pair celebrate their initial victory together, believing their strategy is working perfectly. It is revealed that Kane built a hidden trigger into the AI that causes it to attack the company controlling it. That same program previously destroyed Kane’s own company, Arabesque. It also wiped out Matt Clark’s assets, proving how fast and ruthless it can be. Now Newman Enterprises is suffering the same fate as the AI eats away at its divisions. The threat escalates quickly, putting Victor in an unfamiliar position of vulnerability. This marks only the beginning of a much larger corporate war.
Victor alerts Victoria, Adam, and Nikki that their family and company are under direct attack. He admits that the AI program has turned on Newman Enterprises and is gutting it in real time. Jack and Kyle notice that Victor seems rattled during negotiations and realize something serious is wrong. Victor soon sees confirmation on his phone that an entire Newman division has already been wiped out. Victoria and Adam begin damage control in a desperate attempt to limit the fallout. Furious and determined, Victor declares that the situation ends now. He storms off to confront Kane at the train where Kane and Phyllis are operating. Spoilers indicate that Victor backs Kane into a corner during this confrontation. Victor believes Kane and Phyllis must have a price and hopes negotiation can still save his empire. However, the balance of power has clearly shifted away from the Newmans.
Phyllis revels in their victory and openly gloats as she enjoys holding all the cards. The AI continues to chew through Newman Enterprises, raising the question of whether Kane can truly stop it. Victor demands to know what it will take to end the madness and save his company. Meanwhile, Kane considers expanding his influence by approaching Billy with a possible deal. Billy warns Jack and Kyle that Kane and Phyllis are actively targeting Newman Enterprises. This explains why Victor appeared so distracted after receiving a mysterious text at the ranch. Billy admits he wishes he were the one to take Victor down. Sally overhears this and quickly calls Billy out for his comment. Billy is left needing to explain himself as tensions rise. Kane and Phyllis remain firmly in control, calling the shots as chaos spreads.
Victor now finds himself in a position of weakness that he is completely unaccustomed to. Phyllis defends her actions while Kane warns her they are making powerful enemies. The Newmans prepare to fight back with everything they have. The Abbotts may realize they share a common enemy in Kane and Phyllis. Jack begins to fear that Jabot could also be targeted next. Kane fully embraces his Aristotle Duma alter ego after accepting he cannot repair things with Lily and the twins. Attention turns to Kane’s son Sam, whom Lily once helped raise after Juliet died in childbirth. Sam’s possible return could become a meaningful turning point in Kane’s life. Kane’s potential alliance with Billy threatens to create even more personal and professional fallout. As the corporate battle intensifies, Kane and Phyllis stand poised as Genoa City’s dominant new power couple.
