Charlotte has followed Danny into reckless situations before, and after surviving previous break-ins at Wyndemere, both teenagers start believing they are untouchable. The eerie atmosphere of the castle becomes even more unsettling as shadows fill the room while they stare at the glowing phone screen trying to decode the mysterious message. Unknown to them, Ross Colum is already lurking inside the mansion, convinced that Danny was responsible for shooting him despite Rocco actually being the guilty party. Colum’s paranoia and obsession with Jason Morgan’s son have pushed him into a completely unstable mental state as he stalks Danny like a predator. The episode strongly hints that Colum deliberately waited at Wyndemere expecting Danny to return there eventually because of the previous break-ins and unanswered clues.
