TJ, Iris & Hannah Gaslight Charlie | Love Island: Beyond the Villa Season 2 Episodes 3 & 4 Review

The reviewer watched episodes three and four of Love Island Beyond the Villa season two and found episode three mostly dull. Much of that episode focused on Taylor and Clark, whose relationship still revolves around conflicting lifestyles. Clark wants to move to Los Angeles and pursue influencing or cheerleading opportunities. Taylor prefers staying in Oklahoma with his horses and country life. The reviewer believes their communication feels awkward and unconvincing. Taylor is described as acting like he is the prize in the relationship. While the reviewer agrees Clark lacks a strong financial plan for Los Angeles, they still question why the couple remains together. Social media suggests Clark never actually moved, meaning Taylor likely got his way. Overall, their storyline was viewed as repetitive and lacking excitement.

Episode three also featured Amaya and Bryan meeting to discuss their failed relationship after leaving the villa. Amaya confronted Bryan for not prioritizing her and then breaking up after they became intimate. Bryan admitted he wore a mask in the villa and spiraled once fame hit after the show. He acknowledged that his partying and club behavior made both of them look bad. Amaya agreed the sudden attention changed him quickly. The reviewer believes Bryan always pursued Amaya partly because she was popular with viewers. They argued many contestants knew she had fan support near the end of season seven. While glad the pair finally talked honestly, the reviewer criticized recent winners being chosen for sympathy rather than chemistry. They hope future Love Island seasons focus again on the strongest romantic couples.

Episode four centered on a Palm Springs trip where long-standing tension between Charlie and Hannah finally exploded. Charlie felt Hannah acted fake at the reunion by seeming closer to Pepe after making a big deal about Charlie leaving the villa. During dinner, Hannah confronted Charlie over comments he made on podcasts. Charlie told her directly he believed she had been fake both during and after the show. Hannah also disliked that Austin had called her a snake on podcasts. Charlie responded that Austin defended him just as Hannah defended Iris. The argument then shifted to Iris, TJ, and Pepe, with accusations about gossip over TJ’s awkward TikToks. Charlie claimed he had defended TJ while Iris and Pepe mocked him, leaving Iris visibly uncomfortable. The reviewer says Hannah then exposed the truth by stating Iris had wanted out of her relationship with Pepe.

From that moment, the reviewer concluded Hannah, Iris, and possibly TJ are the real villains of the season rather than Pepe. They believe a “clout clique” exists within the cast, with Amaya at the top and others ranked beneath her. According to the reviewer, this group tried to frame Pepe as the season’s bad guy while protecting Iris. Bella defended Charlie and explained that podcast hosts naturally ask about Hannah because she was part of his villa story. Hannah then cried and left, which the reviewer dismissed as victim tears to escape criticism. The episode also highlighted social hypocrisy, as Bella was criticized for mediating while Jeremiah was not. Jeremiah was seen as trying too hard to stay friendly with the women and remain inside the clique. Bella later said she often felt excluded by the girls and more welcomed by the guys. The reviewer praised episode four for exposing the real group dynamics and hidden alliances.
