Next on Y&R: Phyllis got framed for something she did not do

Genoa City faces escalating chaos on April 23 as Phyllis Summers suffers one disaster after another. Victor Newman and Victoria Newman have already paid most of Phyllis’s employees to quit, leaving her company in crisis. When Phyllis tried to rebuild by hiring replacements, she discovered Victor had blocked the market and kept strong candidates away. Now Victor moves to the next stage of his plan. He uses an advanced AI program to fabricate evidence of illegal activity tied to Phyllis, Billy Abbott, and Cane Ashby. His goal is to force Phyllis into surrendering Newman Enterprises or facing prison. Victor believes he has complete control of the situation and is ready to crush her entirely. Michael Baldwin, however, has already warned that the technology could become dangerous. The scheme quickly proves more unstable than Victor expected. What began as a weapon against Phyllis threatens to spiral beyond anyone’s control.

The AI suddenly malfunctions and starts generating false scandals all over town. Instead of focusing only on Phyllis, it begins sending fake emails and damaging accusations to multiple people in Genoa City. Victor’s own phone starts receiving messages suggesting he is the true criminal behind everything. The trap he designed begins turning back on him. The once confident Victor now faces the possibility that he created something he cannot shut down. His attempt to dominate others may now damage his own name and empire. While the digital chaos spreads, personal drama erupts elsewhere in town. Nikki Newman and Jack Abbott have been growing closer through recent bonding moments. Their connection becomes a problem when Diane Jenkins walks in on them in a compromising scene. Already frustrated by previous tensions, Diane is expected to explode in anger.

Diane’s discovery is likely to trigger a fierce confrontation with both Jack and Nikki. Emotions are high, and shouting matches or destructive outbursts seem almost certain. Across town, Devon Winters creates more conflict through his treatment of Mariah Copeland. He is so angry with her that he openly wants to see her sent to prison. His harsh attitude deeply upsets Abby Newman, who considers Mariah a friend. Devon even mocks the situation by sarcastically suggesting Mariah babysit their son. His bitterness is causing strain in his own marriage as well as with others. Meanwhile, Christine Blair Romalotti considers returning to her former role as district attorney. If she accepts the position, she could influence any legal action involving Mariah. Even so, Christine doubts Devon’s desire to jail Mariah is realistic.

As the day continues, Nick Newman appears headed into dangerous territory. He may try to intervene before Victor’s AI scheme destroys the Newman family from within. Cane Ashby also returns and prepares to make a significant move to help Lily Winters. Elsewhere, newcomer Holden turns to Claire for advice on handling a difficult family situation. In Genoa City, complicated family dynamics are always central to the drama. Every storyline now seems connected by betrayal, rivalry, and shifting loyalties. Phyllis must decide whether to surrender or fight back against Victor’s pressure. Victor must deal with the possibility that his own technology will expose him instead. Secrets may soon spill across the city because of the rogue AI. April 23 promises a volatile episode where no one’s future feels secure.
